Embassy introduces Vietnamese Culture to community in Baltimore

Embassy of Viet Nam in the United States joined with other 20 Embassies and international organizations at 2019 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration organized on May 31, 2019, by Baltimore Sister Cities Committee. The events welcomed more than 500 guests.

This event is the major cultural event in the greater Baltimore region to highlight cultural values and contributions by the Asia - Pacific communities to the people and city of the Baltimore region. During the event, guests enjoyed special art performances with traditional dances, musical instruments, martial arts… under the theme of unity in diversity and development.

It is the first time the Embassy of Viet Nam presented at the Celebration together with the Vietnamese community in the Baltimore area. American and international friends were impressed with the performance, presentation of cultural products and tourist publications, and flavors of typical Vietnamese cuisine, many American and international friends look forward to visiting a dynamic and Viet Nam. 

The performance of the Ao Dai by the Vietnamese Association of Student and Youth in Washington DC was applauded by the audience.

The event is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Baltimore to highlight their achievements and contribution to the development and cultural diversity of the local community.

At the event, the representatives of Maryland State and Baltimore region reaffirmed their willingness and commitment to promote cooperation with Viet Nam in areas of common interests, including trade and investment, cultural exchange, tourism and connectivity between Maryland and provinces in Viet Nam./.
